1958 CHEVROLET DEL RAY
This car is RUST FREE and has had minimal bodywork done. The quarters, fenders, inner fenders, rockers and trunk are very solid and rust free. The frame is also solid and rust free. The body does have some dings and bangs, but none are serious and would only take minimal work to correct. Chrome and stainless are ALL there but need re-done to be show quality, still shines and shows good the way it is. The car was lowered by cutting the springs and installing matching shocks, the rear was heated and shocks replaced for matching ride height. The glass is clear and crack free. Car is powered by a 350 SB Tri Power. The motor runs very smooth, no smoke, no noises and carries 50-55 lbs. of oil pressure cruising and around 30-33 idling, Runs good and is extremely dependable. The motor also has a new Edelbrock intake, with 3 Rochester 2-jet carbs, mechanical linkage, new Mallory electronic dist. with the small cap to the accommodate Deuces, and new electric fan. The exhaust is new 2 1/2 pipes running straight out to 12" cannons. The new A/C unit was designed specifically for this car by Classic Air and is brand new, charged and ready to go with zero leaks. The motor is backed by the original 3 spd. trans that shifts great, and is still tight! The clutch and pressure plate have been replaced and are good and firm. The car stops by way of the original juice brakes, stops straight and true as everything is new. The front end has been completely rebuilt with every nut and bolt new, every bushing, tie rod, ball joint, and spring was replaced; the car was then aligned and drives great! New Smoothies with 3" B.F. Goodrich Wide White Radials, new interior, Kenwood CD Player w/remote and Impala wheel. All lights and signals work. The car looks killer and runs and drives great. This is not a show car but a great weekend cruiser or daily driver. Look around and try to find a 58 Delray under 20k. You can own this one for a lot less. Come drive it home, drive it anywhere.
